Atwood and feminism
Take a look at this. If you didn't repond last time, do so this time. Same kind of framework as was exemplified in class. We'll go through this tomorrow. Remember...Ren Faire on Friday.
The Blog Prob
So it looks like I need to make you all "team members" of the blog so you can post and directly comment on your postings. Shoot me and email address with your screen name, and I'll invite you...unless someone has a more creative way to do this...

Thurber and Culture
2nd blog topic:
What clues (ignoring the named places and proper references) does Thurber give to shape the culture he is portraying? How would you describe the “culture” that Thurber describes? American? Regional? Middle?
Reply, respond, etc.

Thurber and Family
Hey seniors:
Tonight's topic is Thurber's potrayal of family, and here's your question:
How does Thurber show us not only how the idea of “family” is unique but is also universal? How does his family connect to yours?
You can respond to the question as well as respond to others. We'll discuss further in class.

Welcome IB seniors!
We'll be utilizing this space for discussions realating to our texts, topics, assessments and other items of note for IB English 2. Feel free to collaborate with your fellow Mira Loma students if a particular topic interests you wether you're assigned to lead, create or take part a discussion or not. There's a lot we can learn from earch other, and hopefully this will be the place to begin, or further, discussion relating to IB English. If you need a more personal response, you can always e-mail me at kcarmona@sanjuan.edu.
Another note, since I have a passion for independent film and creative writing (particularly experimental narrative), I will also post opportunities for you to indulge in these mediums outside the classroom.
Here's to a great year!
